Hitchin’ Post RV Park

Although this is a review of an RV park, I have to state up front that we did not stay in our trailer, but in one of the cabins offered by the facility. However, I will tell you what I saw while walking around the RV sites.

This facility is very, very clean. There wasn’t even a paper wrapper on the ground. In addition, there are plenty of dog poop bag dispensing/disposal stations to be found, which only added to the cleanliness of the place. From what I saw, all the RV sites are very flat and sit on gravel pads. I think they were all pull-throughs as well. I noticed some pretty big rigs that had plenty of space.

Now, about the cabins. We really liked the design of them. I’m not sure how big they were but they were big enough. Ours (and I assume the others) had a living area/kitchen area, full bathroom and bedroom. The bed was queen-sized, big enough for me, my wife and our two dogs. Here are some pictures.

The WIFI signal was very strong as was the cable signal. The air conditioners are the new type (wall mounted, quiet and efficient) and, despite the vicious heat outside, our cabin was quite comfy. We only met one of the staff and he was friendly and helpful. Turns out that he fosters dogs (four of them) so we had a nice conversation about the dogs we adopted. We also met two of the friendliest cats ever!

So, if we ever have our trailer and we are passing by the Hitchin’ Post, we would most certainly stay there. I recommend it.
