Let me start with a definition:

HEMP—The term ‘hemp’ means the plant Cannabis sativa L. and any part of that plant, including the seeds thereof and all derivatives, extracts, cannabinoids, isomers, acids, salts, and salts of isomers, whether growing or not, with a delta-9 tetrahydrocannabinol concentration of not more than 0.3 per-cent on a dry weight basis.

Now a bit about Federal Law. In December of 2018, the 2018 Farm Bill was signed into law. It removed hemp, defined as cannabis (Cannabis sativa L.) and derivatives of cannabis with extremely low concentrations of the psychoactive compound delta-9-tetrahydrocannabinol (THC) (no more than 0.3 percent THC on a dry weight basis), from the definition of marijuana in the Controlled Substances Act (CSA).

So, entrepreneurs immediately figured out that products that contain CBD oil AND products that contain delta-9 THC could be legal. What followed was an explosion of CBD-based products and products containing delta-9 THC. The farm bill is up for renewal in 2023 because the legal marijuana industry wants to get rid of the delta-9 exception.

You will definitely get a buzz from delta-9 products, and that makes the legal marijuana industry nervous. Lobbyists will probably win out in the end.

Anyway, I purchased a bottle of delta-9 THC gummies over the net, not for pain, but for blood pressure control. My blood pressure had risen as a result, I think, of the pain I was experiencing from my rotator cuff injury.

When the product arrived, I took one gummy at night. I got (pardon my French) fucked up, but the next morning my shoulder pain was at a minimum AND my blood pressure was down.

Two nights later, I took ½ gummy and got a strong buzz. Same result for pain and blood pressure.

I am now down to ¼ gummy, from which I get a mild buzz but find that my pain is minimized. I have not yet tested my blood pressure.

If you are interested in CBD or low content delta-9 gummies, Amazon has a plethora of them available. I have no recommendations for make. Follow this link:

If you are interested in the kind of gummies I purchased, there are many companies that sell them, all for the same price (not surprising). Here is a link to the company I used:

Take it from me, be cautious using these gummies. Yeah, I got high (not expecting to) and had the paranoia you experience with pot. That was when I took a whole gummy. The next morning my pain in my shoulder was almost gone.

Taking ½ gummy got me higher than I wanted but did minimize my pain.

Finally, I tried ¼ gummy, got a mild buzz (in ever sense of the word – I actually felt a buzzing sensation), and my pain was once again minimized.

Do your research before you buy anything. I am not a doctor and don’t even play one on TV.
