Analyzing these differences, the higher average weight contributes to increased power, counteracted by the slightly lower swingweight. The higher twistweight, however, enhances control.
Having primarily played indoors with this paddle, I initially sought more “pop” but found that the Infinity Edgeless Paddle, despite its marginally lower swing weight, felt surprisingly light. This allowed for quick ball swings and generated more power effortlessly.
In terms of control, the Edgeless paddle excels, performing exceptionally well in intense game situations. Adjustments were necessary for third drop shots, requiring a bit more lift. The stiffer feel of the Edgeless paddle’s face, compared to the 14 MM DBD, adds another dimension to power delivery.
