Introduction
I recently had the chance to get early access to the Vatic V-SOL Power paddle, and I have to say—it’s impressive. Even better? It’s affordable. The crew at The Pickleball Studio also reviewed both this and the blue version of the paddle, though (true to form) they took their time reaching a conclusion. Let’s just say they seemed to like it. 😏

Vatic V-SOL Power Specs
Here are the essentials:
- Core: Solid EPP with perforations, surrounded by an EVA foam border (very similar—if not identical—to the Body Helix Falcon paddle).
- Surface: Proprietary multi-layer composite topped with Toray T-700 carbon fiber.
- Construction: Unibody design.
- Weight: ~8.0 oz.

I don’t have data yet on swing weight or twist weight, but I’ll update once I do.
Performance
Although it’s branded as a “Power” paddle, I found it to have excellent touch and control around the net. Unlike some foam-core paddles that feel like they want to launch the ball, the V-SOL stays predictable. Punch volleys were solid and deep, but I never sent shots sailing past the baseline.
Spin was another pleasant surprise. I was able to generate plenty of topspin on serves and reliable underspin on return-of-serve slices. The surface grips well enough to give you confidence in shaping your shots.
Overall, this plays like a well-balanced paddle—power when you need it, touch when you want it—making it a strong choice for players of all levels.

Here is the best part – the paddle, when released, will cost $109. Yes, that’s right. And, to make this better, you can get a discount by following this link:
