Introduction
I was, until this year, not a fan of wide-bodied paddle. My opinion on them has changed, mainly because they have a bigger sweet spot and, with the advances in technology, the wide-bodies have not sacrificed power.
I was able to get hold of a Monarch All Court from someone who had a number of paddles and thought that it was a bit too powerful for him. I used the paddle with my ball machine, which allowed me to practice many different types of shots. I loved the paddle.

Performance
I started with return of service. My machine can really drill the ball at you, keeping it low. I was able to return the serves exactly where I wanted to with sufficient power and, when I wanted to, softly and deep into the court.
Then I tried third shot drops. I really did not have to do much other than meet the ball (when it was driven hard) to get the ball to drop over the net. I did not pop the ball up at all. When I set the machine to give me soft, deep shots, I was able to supply a lot of underspin to my third shot drop shots.
After that, I set the machine to hit balls to the transition zone, some hard and flat, and some “loopy.” The hard shots were easier to handle (for me) since I just had to meet the ball. I had a bit of an issue with the softer shots, but I always do, so that has nothing to do with the paddle.
I then dragged my wife out to practice serves. My serves were hard and deep, but, if you have played against my wife, you know that she can return anything. Nonetheless, I found that I could hit the serves with power, as well as hitting my ground strokes with power.
We then dinked, straight on and cross court, after which we played a game of “dink, dink, dink – game on.” The paddle had a great feel around the net and performed very well in firefights.

Comment
The Monarch All Court features foam-injected walls and tapered edges, expanding the sweet spot for superior control and precision, but there is not sacrifice in terms of power.
Price
With affordability being a significant factor, the Monarch All Court Paddle emerges as an enticing option at $104.99 (a sale price right now), a relatively low price for a high-performance paddle. Additionally, the provided discount code (GregHansen10) offers further incentive, making it an attractive proposition for budget-conscious players seeking a power paddle without compromising quality.
