Hurache-X All Court Power Paddle Review

The Hurache-X All Court Power Paddle is the latest evolution in the popular Hurache series, designed to provide a perfect blend of control and power. Like its predecessors, it retains the signature feel of the Hurache Control paddles but introduces a noticeable boost in power. The paddle is USAP-approved, having successfully passed the USAPA PBCoR testing, and will be available to the public on or around February 7th. I had the opportunity to test it early (not free, but with a 20% discount).

Design and Features

As its name implies, this paddle is geared toward control players seeking an extra punch. One of its standout features is the 6-inch-long handle, ideal for players with a two-handed backhand. The extended handle also leverages basic physics—the longer “lever” effect generates more force with your shots, making it a powerful option for drives and serves.

Performance

  • Net Play: Around the net, the Hurache-X felt “cushiony,” yet not overly soft—a delicate balance that translated to consistent, reliable dinks and third-shot drops. The paddle’s feedback is forgiving, which is especially helpful in precision play.
  • Firefights: During fast-paced exchanges, the paddle excelled due to its light swing weight. The added power felt natural, and I didn’t have to overexert to generate speed on my shots. Despite the increased power, the control remained exceptional, giving me confidence in tight exchanges.
  • Serves and Drives: This is where the Hurache-X really differentiates itself from earlier models. The added power was immediately noticeable, and yet, there was no adjustment period required. I could hit with confidence right out of the box, delivering aggressive serves and penetrating drives without sacrificing placement.

Verdict

The Hurache-X All Court Power Paddle is a standout for players who prioritize control but want a paddle that can step up when more power is needed. With no learning curve, it’s beginner-friendly yet versatile enough for advanced players who value consistency and performance.
