Smartwool Everyday Socks

Before I had my Morton’s Neuroma surgery, I was always desperately looking for everyday socks that would cushion my feet. When my wife and I went snowshoeing in Oregon, we stopped at a store called “Next Adventure.” This shop had many, many, MANY different brands of socks for sale. When I tried on Smartwool light cushion socks, I decided that the would be perfect for snowshoeing and for everyday wear. The socks were not thick, but had enough cushion to minimize the pain from MN, at least for a few hours.

After my surgery  in October of last year, I continued to wear the Smartwool socks until the weather became a bit too warm. I went online to see Smartwool’s offering in everyday socks and found the zero cushion socks. I bought quite a few pair. Why it hadn’t occurred to me to buy zero cushion socks in the past is beyond me, other than the fact that, at the time, I really needed socks with cushioned bottoms.

I probably have 50 different pair of socks – seriously. Now, with my Smartwool socks, I no longer have to search for great socks.

Smartwool socks are not inexpensive, but they seem to last forever. Our snowshoe adventure took place four years ago, and my socks are still in great shape.

If you are considering surgery, or you are post-surgery, I recommend you check out the sock selection at the Smartwool website: https://www.smartwool.com/You may or may not find better prices on Amazon. I’m not sure about that.
