XZAKTLY “Beast” Paddle Review

Introduction

Many paddle manufacturers name their products to suggest immense power, and initially, I assumed the XZAKTLY “Beast” would be just another in that category. However, I was pleasantly surprised by its performance.

The “Beast” weighs in at 8.7 ounces, which is heavier than the 8-8.2 ounces I typically use. Surprisingly, the paddle didn’t feel as heavy in my hand, likely due to its larger grip circumference, which provided a comfortable hold.

Performance

The XZAKTLY “Beast” paddle exceeded my expectations in all aspects of play. The additional weight made executing various shots easier. Dinks required less effort, and third shot drops demanded less power. Transition zone shots became more manageable, especially when handling fast returns. Realistically, I just had to meet the ball. While this may be true for most paddles, I felt that my shots were a bit more on target, allowing me to keep the ball down.

The paddle truly excelled in serves and drives. The weight allowed me to generate significant topspin without the need for a powerful swing, resulting in better control over these shots. It’s clear why this paddle is aptly named “The Beast.”

Specifications

Summary

The XZAKTLY “Beast” is an outstanding paddle for advanced players who can leverage its power without compromising control. However, beginners might find it challenging to handle due to its power.

The paddle is priced at $209, on par with other high-end paddles. I, for one, think it is worth it. However, if you use the code XZAKTLYPB20, you can get 20% off the price. You can purchase the Beast here.
