At last, a pickleball bag with wheels that can fit in an overhead storage compartment.
The Onix Pickleball Pro Team Wheeled Duffle Bag is a big bag—and I mean that as a compliment.
At 31 inches long, 16 inches wide, and 12.5 inches high, it is designed for players who need to carry a lot of gear. This is especially useful if you are heading to a tournament, traveling for several days, or are one of those people who somehow manages to bring half of the garage to the pickleball courts.
For travel, you can use it as any other bag and store it above your seat.
There is plenty of room inside for multiple paddles, balls, clothing, towels, and all the other stuff that seems to accumulate when you play pickleball regularly.
One feature I particularly like is the separate shoe and wet-storage compartment. Pickleball shoes have a way of collecting dirt, dust, and whatever else happens to be on the court, so I would rather not throw them in with clean clothes. The wet-storage area also gives you somewhere to put a damp towel or sweaty shirt after playing.
The bag has four zippered pockets, which makes it easier to keep smaller items organized rather than having everything disappear into one enormous compartment.
But what really separates this from a typical pickleball duffle is that you don’t have to carry it.
The bag has urethane wheels and a retractable handle, so you can roll it through a parking lot, hotel, or airport just like a piece of luggage. If you do need to pick it up, there is also a conventional carry handle on top.
The construction feels designed for travel rather than simply going back and forth to your local courts. That makes sense because this isn’t really a small everyday pickleball bag. It is closer to a piece of rolling luggage designed specifically around the equipment pickleball players carry.
If you normally show up with one paddle and a couple of balls, this is probably more bag than you need.
But if you travel to tournaments, carry several paddles, bring extra clothes and shoes, or simply like having everything in one place, the Onix Pro Team Wheeled Duffle Bag offers a lot of space without requiring you to carry all that weight on your shoulder.
And the wheels may turn out to be its best feature.
